Red Stripe Vintage..Etsy Store

Today was a great mail day, I received a package from Red Stripe Vintage, a store on Etsy. Check out her shop.Great variety of vintage wares.
Over the past 3 years I have purchased many items. Never has anything ever been packaged so beautifully. I was so impressed by Noels branding and packaging. She was generous and gave me free handmade gift cards, a bag of medals (so cool), a bag of buttons (super nice). My purchase a vintage rosary was carefully placed in a vintage satin and velvet box wrapped with ribbon and topped with vintage velvet flowers.

June 6th and 7th, Farm Chicks Show

I am so excited and a bit nervous to be participating at the fabulous Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane,Wa. I haven't been in a show for 100 years.(at least 20) I will be selling my collection of home furnishings, re-purposed finds,and my "Shay" jewelry. I am designing some pieces from my huge vintage linen stash and sewing them up for the show.Whooo Hooo !!!!
Back in the market after a 15 hiatus.Can't wait!

Quilt Love

There is something so cozy about cotton quilts. As I was shuffling through my antique textile closet in search of pieces for some projects I am making. I have several old cotton quilts I love. Some with holes,some tattered and worn,I don't have the heart to cut them up.What is it about old cotton? New cotton is just different,not as soft. No soul.
